Public Service Announcment for Youth!

As a mom and I think any parent would agree that, the safety of our children is of primary concern.  The parents that I know, will lay down their own lives for their children and that is a sentiment that crosses racial and/or ethnic lines. However; raising children of color bring an extra layer of concern as the very systems that are put in place to protect them have been proven to do just the opposite.

After a very troubling experience over this weekend, I’m issuing this  Public Service Announcement for Youth!

Please share and repost this YouTube video on your social networking page(s), have this very important conversation with the young people in your life and don’t allow the police to prey on our youth. The potential harm that NYPD’s line-up scam poses are great! Use #spreadlovethebkway when commenting and reposting.

As I am a lover of Brooklyn, and love sharing all that is good about the borough, I would be a complete dishonest hypocrite to know that this is happening and choose to ignore it. Stop and Frisk is not our only problem.
