Surviving Church with Children Made Easy!

“Parents of small children are also often apprehensive about going to church because they are concerned about how the little one(s) is going to behave and fear the embarrassing side eye.  As a mom of three (ages: 18, 12 & 9 now 20, 14 & 11), I know how real that anxiety can be as I started regularly attending church when youngest was just two years old.  And though it was through trail and error, I not only survived, but was able to master church behavior management down to a science.”

It’s Easter weekend and I figured I would update a classic post “You DON’T Have to Skip Church.”  It’s that time of year where your friends/family, finally take you up on that invitation to attend Sunday morning services.  The thing is; their beautifully dressed darlings have no church chill whatsoever.  Teaching children how to sit through service takes time, patience and possibly a few side eyes.

No need to worry or feel embarrassed parents or even worse; don’t you even think about not going to church this Resurrection Sunday.  Here’s a repost of my step by step video, packed with “Tips For Going To Church With Small Children.”  It’s full of proven gems to not only to get you through Easter service, but a how-to identify the right church for your family and  surviving regular church attendance with little ones.

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

If your were on the fence about the right time to attend worship service, well…….just in time for Easter Sunday, Surviving Church with Children Made Easy!

I’m so glad you shared this piece. My husband and I attend church regularly, too, and we often find it challenging to bring our two toddlers because some of the churches do not offer church nursery. We have found a church that offers a children’s room with a glass window so you can still see the church service. Speakers are also inside the room so we can hear. This makes us so much more comfortable to attend church. The pastor has also said for people to be more understanding and welcoming of families who have small children. Great post!

Great tips Kisha! Don’t a lot of churches provide something like children’s church or daycare? Thanks for sharing ♥

I don’t have children but was taught as a child to go to church. I attend every Sunday now!
